We miss you Joan!

On Tuesday July 26, 2022, our beloved Joan Lightfoot lost her battle with cancer. As Social Chair and BSB Board of Directors member, she was a mainstay at all Bruin events, from watch parties and UCLA games and tailgates, to Hollywood Bowl concerts. Joan was was a combination of the tireless Energizer bunny and the most devoted Bruin fan and alumna ever – and a true Blue friend to all.

God bless you always ~

Food Closet

Project

In 2016, Bruins of the South Bay club collected nonperishable food items and toiletries for the Food Closet. According to a July 2016 Los Angeles Times article, 40% of UC students do not have a consistent source of high-quality, nutritious food. The Food Closet, which opened in 2009, feeds hungry students, no questions asked.

  1. Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of
this site. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s
tough to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability and
appearance. I must say you have done a very good job with this.
Additionally, the blog loads super quick for me on Opera.

    Outstanding Blog!
